Registered on 7th March 1973, this fantastic example was delivered new from the factory to Hexagon of Highgate in its colour combination of Lagoon Metallic Blue over a black interior. The supplied Lotus Certificate of Vehicle Provenance shows that the car was a late example and is one of few ordered in Lagoon Metallic Blue. Previously restored, the Elan presents very well indeed, a testament to the engineer who spent two years restoring the car. The restoration included a correct Lotus galvanised replacement chassis and featured desirable upgrades such as a Coolex high performance aluminium radiator, uprated rear shock absorbers and refurbished wheels. The interior is correct and in very good order with its original steering wheel and black vinyl seats. Supplied with a sizeable history file including the UK registration document, Lotus Certificate of Vehicle Provenance, many receipts from marque specialists such as Mick Miller and Paul Matty, correspondence from previous owners and an extensive photo album of the car’s restoration. A rare example in very good running and driving condition which is ready to be enjoyed!
