  • Fast road specification with many Group 4 upgrades
  • Very little use since body off restoration
  • Fitted with an extensively rebuilt 1550cc engine undertaken by Alpine specialist Salv Sacco
  • Desirable five speed gearbox

Offered for sale is this beautifully presented 1973 Renault Alpine A110 1300, finished in striking Bleu Acia Métallisé and representing an exceptional opportunity to acquire one of the most engaging and usable examples of this iconic lightweight sports car. The car was the subject of a comprehensive body off restoration some years ago. Today it presents in genuinely lovely condition throughout. Importantly, the underside remains in the same condition as when the restoration was completed, reflecting careful ownership and limited, sympathetic use since.

Power comes from a Renault 1397cc block fitted with a fast road camshaft and 1550 forged pistons with steel liners and the desirable Renault 5 Alpine/Gordini cylinder head with Gordini style valve covers. The engine was professionally built and supplied by respected Alpine engine specialist Salv Sacco, producing an estimated 145 bhp. Induction is via twin 45 DCOE Weber carburettors with the correct angled trumpets and stabilising bracket, complemented by a Devil 3-4-1 exhaust manifold into a Autobleu stainless steel exhaust. Power is transmitted through the highly desirable 353 five speed gearbox, previously rebuilt by Alpine specialist Bob Wheeler.

Over the past three years alone, in excess of approximately £10,000 has been invested to ensure the car has been developed and maintained using the correct period components and thoughtful upgrades. It even has original Marshal wipers. A list of all the works and upgrades is included below!

Mechanically, the car is outstanding and has been carefully developed to deliver exceptional performance while retaining the character that makes the Alpine A110 so revered. It starts, runs and drives superbly, with an engine that is every bit as impressive as its specification suggests.

The handling is equally impressive, benefiting from adjustable Koni suspension.

Combining a body off restoration, significant recent expenditure, outstanding mechanical specification and beautiful overall presentation, this is a highly sorted and immensely usable Alpine A110 that is equally suited to spirited road driving, touring events or historic rally use. It is ready to be enjoyed by its next enthusiast owner.
